Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Test Engineer to join our team at Cooper Standard.

The Test Engineer will be responsible for creating and implementing test cases, documenting defects and failures, and ensuring a quality product. This is a professional level engineering position that requires strong mechanical aptitude, technical and analytical problem-solving skills, and excellent communication abilities.

• Setup, program, and run test lab equipment
• Design tests to ensure customer specifications are met
• Provide feedback to Program Engineering, R&D Engineering, and Advanced Engineering on tests requested
• Perform failure analysis on tests that do not pass test specifications
• Troubleshoot lab equipment failures and help resolve issues quickly
• Prepare test reports for internal and external customers and provide feedback on lab technician tests and work
• Provide feedback on test results to external customers and attend customer meetings
• Work with Lab Personnel to minimize LTR's past due
• Ensure accuracy and consistency of data results through thorough documentation processes

• College or University Degree or equivalent required
• Two to four years of relevant work experience
• Fabrication, blueprint reading skills, and equipment knowledge preferred
• Knowledge of statistics
• Strong mechanical aptitude and technical problem-solving skills
• Skills or working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
• Good interpersonal skills to work effectively in a team environment
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills

$85,000 - $110,000 per year
