Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Automotive Software Engineer to join our team at FEV. As a key member of our software development team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing software for automotive systems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain software specifications in accordance with customer requirements for automated testing of automotive systems.
  • Integrate and commission high-voltage batteries in electric and hybrid vehicles.
  • Develop safety plans for all functional ranges of high-voltage battery management.
  • Prepare and conduct functional tests on test stands, HiL, and vehicles.
  • Prepare and participate in vehicle testing in Germany and abroad.
  • Analyze and evaluate test results.
  • Track open issues during development and commissioning activities.
  • Develop presentations for status and result reviews.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Automotive Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications.
  • Knowledge of MATLAB/Simulink, INCA, INPA, CANalyzer, and Turbolab tools is desirable.
  • Experience with battery management functions and high-voltage batteries is ideal.
  • Experience with our customer BMW or other OEMs in the automotive sector is advantageous.
  • High vehicle affinity and interest in abroad testing.
  • Fluent German and English language skills.
  • Valid driver's license class B.
  • Analytical thinking and solution-oriented work.
  • High motivation and excellent communication and team skills.
