About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled IT Project Manager to join our team at Amazon TA. As an IT Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing multiple large-scale IT projects from initiation to delivery, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage IT projects from beginning to end, including project scope, timeline, hardware procurement, resource allocation, project execution, and coordinating remote work with cross-functional teams.
  • Act as the first point of escalation for projects assigned, managing risks, developing mitigation plans, and ensuring project deliverables meet the required standards.
  • Report and inform stakeholders of status updates, risks, and issues, ensuring transparent communication throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Proactively manage change control, communicate impact, identify issues, and devise contingency plans to ensure project success.
  • Identify and manage project dependencies and critical paths, maintaining accurate project plans with real-time milestone, task, and project health data.
  • Update or develop documentation on processes critical to successfully implementing projects, ensuring knowledge sharing and best practices are adopted across the organization.
  • Lead adoption of project management tools and processes, evangelizing project management practices throughout the region and ensuring adherence to standard methodologies.
  • Participate in hiring, training, and development of others, contributing to the growth and development of the project management team.
Requirements
  • Experience and education in IT project support in a multi-user high-availability environment, project management, or related management functions.
  • Ability to explain complex IT concepts in simple terms, ensuring effective communication with stakeholders.
  • Basic-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Telecommunications, ERP systems.
  • Understanding of large, complex, and globally distributed IT systems, with experience in managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in a matrixed environment.
  • Fluent English language skills, with the ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Degree in Computer Science, IT-related field, or adequate work experience.
  • Experience and education in IT project support in a multi-user high-availability environment, project management, or related management functions.
  • Intermediate-level knowledge in one or more of the following: LAN, WAN, Wireless, Telecommunications, ERP systems.
  • Exceptional organizational, planning, and prioritization skills, with excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with procurement of IT equipment, with a proven track record of managing high-priority projects.
  • Ability to travel, with a willingness to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
