Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Lab Technician Battery Development to join our R&D department. As a key member of our cross-functional team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our engineers in testing battery cells, running chemical analyses, maintaining equipment, and general upkeep of the lab.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct various tests to characterize and evaluate new battery materials, including routine battery cell assembly and electrolyte preparation, chemical compatibility, electrochemical performance, etc.
  • Calibrate, operate, maintain, and troubleshoot laboratory equipment, including electrochemical test stations.
  • Collaborate with R&D colleagues in the implementation of tests and procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with good laboratory practice, both in terms of documentation and occupational safety.
  • Assist in the preparation of technical documentation and reports for internal use and regulatory compliance.
  • Manage inventories of laboratory equipment, chemicals, and consumables.
Requirements
  • Completed training as a laboratory assistant (e.g., chemistry/physics, CTA) or a bachelor's degree in chemistry, physics, plus 2 years of professional experience in the laboratory (preferably in a research and development environment).
  • Familiarity with one or more of the following electrochemical and analytical techniques (cyclic voltammetry, impedance spectroscopy, titrations, UV/VIS spectroscopy, etc.).
  • Experience with lab-related software and Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Very good written and spoken English knowledge.
  • Positive "can do" attitude.
  • Practical experience with batteries and/or fuel cells is an advantage.
