About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team at SRAM. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for handling end-to-end sourcing operations, contributing to strategic sourcing planning, and appraising and improving our sourcing activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing and e-procurement policies for the Mechatronics Division, ensuring alignment with company goals.
- Lead supply chain risk assessment and analysis for in-house manufacturing, contributing to manufacturing planning and streamlining manufacturing complexity.
- Conduct initial market research and vendor profiling to aid supplier selection based on cost, market trends, and vulnerability assessment.
- Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality, and manage proposal evaluation, RFP process, and final vendor selection to meet budget objectives.
- Establish a vendor scorecard to benchmark performance, conduct regular supplier risk assessments, and continuously improve processes.
- Manage supplier selection through collaboration with Procurement, Engineering, and Product Development, developing best practices for negotiation, contracting, on-boarding, and renewal.
- Refine policies, estimate risk, and apply risk minimizing techniques, ensuring contracts comply with industry regulations, and continuously improve RFP templates.
- Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years experience in the micromobility industry.
- Thorough working knowledge in trade compliance, contract negotiation, project management, and strategic logistics planning required.
- Understanding of mechatronics and mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Superb leadership and communication skills.
- Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Willingness to travel to develop, promote, and maintain strategic sourcing relationships.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
