Strategic Procurement Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced procurement professional to join our team at I. K. Hofmann. As a key member of our procurement organization, you will be responsible for managing tender processes, overseeing contract management, and creating purchase orders in SAP and SAP Ariba.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure best value-for-money procurement, maximizing business and project value.
  • Overall sourcing responsibility, including specific tender strategies, supplier invitation & selection, negotiation, and implementation of supplier contracts.
  • Deliver efficient and effective procurement operations while ensuring compliance.
  • Support and challenge business colleagues across all countries to ensure best commercial outcomes in alignment with the Business Solutions Team within the Procurement Organization.
  • Systems & tools accountability for all sourcing activities using SAP & SAP Ariba for tenders.
  • Actively manage Uniper suppliers to ensure competitive contracts and reliable supplies.
  • Contract & Claims management where required.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the energy industry and/or procurement.
  • Procurement background/experience in technical components & services could be a plus.
  • Proven track record of managing larger procurement projects and/or tenders.
  • Experience in using SAP Ariba and relevant platforms (i.e. eVergabe).
  • Ability to convincingly manage a wide range of stakeholders, their conflicting requirements & cross-functional overlaps.
  • Good analytical mindset and willingness to drive performance.
  • Creative and open-minded individual with a good sense of humor.
  • Good communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Work experience in international teams, appreciation of cultural differences, and mobility/willingness to travel internationally would be a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills in fluent English & German are required, knowledge of additional languages would be a plus.
