Strategic Procurement Manager

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Strategic Sourcing Specialist to join our team at SRAM. As a key member of our procurement team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing strategic sourcing strategies to drive cost savings and improve supplier relationships.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sourcing and procurement policies for the Mechatronics Division, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Lead supply chain risk assessments and analysis for in-house manufacturing, identifying opportunities for improvement and streamlining manufacturing complexity.
- Conduct initial market research and vendor profiling to inform supplier selection decisions, considering factors such as cost, market trends, and vulnerability assessments.
- Negotiate contracts with key suppliers, including costs and terms of supply, service, and quality, ensuring compliance with industry regulations.
- Establish and maintain a vendor scorecard to benchmark supplier performance, conduct regular risk assessments, and continuously improve processes.
- Collaborate with Procurement, Engineering, and Product Development teams to manage supplier selection, develop best practices for negotiation and contracting, and refine policies and procedures.
- Refine policies, estimate risk, and apply risk-minimizing techniques to ensure contracts comply with industry regulations and continuously improve RFP templates.
- Maintain strategic sourcing relationships and develop strong partnerships with suppliers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Finance, Logistics, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of sourcing experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the micromobility industry.
- Thorough working knowledge of trade compliance, contract negotiation, project management, and strategic logistics planning.
- Understanding of mechatronics and mechanical engineering is a plus.
- Superb leadership and communication skills.
- Advanced ability to collaborate and negotiate.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Fluent in English, German is a plus.
