Airport Safety and Quality Manager

Lux-Airport, the aerodrome operator responsible for the operation of the airport infrastructure, is seeking a highly skilled Airport Safety and Quality Manager to join its team.

The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree or equivalent experience in a similar function and a minimum of 5 years of successful experience in a similar role. Real-time experience in the quality and/or safety domain is preferred.

The Airport Safety and Quality Manager will be responsible for the Safety Management System (SMS), its development, implementation, promotion, and continuous improvement. This includes assuming the responsibility of Safety Postholder in accordance with the EASA definition, ensuring a Safety Assessment methodology is present, up to date, and known, and approving/participating in major Safety Assessments.

The successful candidate will also be responsible for deciding on, following up on, or leading major Safety Investigations, ensuring Safety KPIs are defined, monitored, and correct action is taken. Additionally, they will manage the safety department, consisting of senior experts, analysts, and administrative support, and define, ensure the development, and approve safety-related trainings.

The Airport Safety and Quality Manager will also be responsible for monitoring and analyzing safety occurrence reporting and follow-up, providing advice on safety-related matters to the Accountable Manager, and chairing and participating in safety-related meetings.

The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational skills, documentation and reporting skills, analytical skills, good interpersonal skills, and teamwork and collaboration skills. They will also have excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and dashboards, knowledge of quality and/or safety standards, and a driving license B.
