About the Role

As an Operations Manager at Amazon Heidenheim GmbH, you will be responsible for leading operational teams on a shift, dealing with issues, and positively impacting site performance. You will also be responsible for analysing shift performance against relevant business objectives and putting in place actions to improve operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and develop a team of Area Managers
  • Lead operational teams on a shift, deal with issues, and positively impact site performance
  • Analyse shift performance against relevant business objectives, and put in place actions to improve our operational excellence
  • Work closely with other support teams, including HR, Finance, Health and Safety, and Security
  • Design and deliver initiatives across the sites to improve operational performance

A Day in the Life

You will lead shifts at one of our operational sites and be the key link between a number of teams, including finance, safety and operations integration teams. This means you will be close to the day-to-day operations at your site but also contribute to new ways to innovate at your site.

About the Team

Amazon Extra Large (AMXL) looks after heavy items like furniture and large home appliances. Our team manages the entire service, from supply chain fulfilment to delivery and returns. What sets this service apart from others is the extra level of customer care. Not only do we deliver large items, but we unpack, assemble and install them, and take away old items where needed. With a focus on safety, productivity and innovation, we're changing the way customers buy and receive large goods for the better.

Requirements

  • A degree (Bachelor, Master)
  • Relevant experience in people and stakeholder management
  • Advanced proficiency in the local language
  • Relevant experience in using data or anecdotal evidence to influence business decisions
  • Relevant experience in key areas of production and supply chains
