Key Responsibilities

  • Analyze the complete asset portfolio of Uniper and explore potential new business avenues, incorporating technical, commercial, and regulatory value factors into thorough evaluations.
  • Assess major asset-specific capital expenditure approvals (including new constructions, upgrades, and life extension projects) or decisions regarding mothballing and divestment.
  • Conduct portfolio assessments and formulate recommendations for the Board regarding optimization strategies.
  • Facilitate effective asset management by developing an Asset Portfolio Strategy aligned with Uniper's corporate objectives, actively supporting the transformation of the current asset portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with operational sites and various business units, such as Asset Operations, Business Controlling, Power, Asset-Based Contracts, and Asset Development.
  • Align critical assumptions and communicate findings across all reporting levels.

Candidate Profile

  • A distinguished university degree in engineering, economics, or natural sciences.
  • Strong analytical capabilities combined with strategic and entrepreneurial thinking.
  • Comprehensive understanding of European energy markets, particularly in Germany, the UK, the Netherlands, and Hungary, along with the relevant transformation drivers, especially regulatory frameworks and support mechanisms.
  • Demonstrated experience in project management and effective stakeholder collaboration.
  • Proficient in the English language.
  • 3 to 5 years of pertinent professional experience.
