Job Overview

ASSIGNMENT/OVERVIEW OF EXPECTATIONS:


• The primary responsibility of this position involves close collaboration with both the Asset Management and Investment Management teams.

• This role encompasses not only providing essential support to the Asset Management team, particularly in technical matters necessary for initiating and executing asset management initiatives, but also entails taking ownership of specific projects.

• A secondary focus will be on overseeing construction and redevelopment activities related to asset acquisition or refurbishment.

• Additionally, this role includes the daily oversight of third-party services contracted by Natixis, such as technical property management.

• It is also expected that the individual will identify value drivers associated with technical aspects of each asset.

MAIN ACTIVITIES & TASKS


• Formulate and implement technical asset management strategies tailored to the needs of the portfolio.

• Review, authorize, and/or manage proposals for complex renovation and significant refurbishment projects.

• Directly manage construction activities or appoint third-party consultants for oversight.

• Provide specialized support to Asset Managers in evaluating the physical integrity and operational systems of large or complex assets within the portfolio.

• Conduct assessments to ensure compliance with national environmental standards, sustainability practices, and other relevant regulations.

• Collaborate with the AEW Group to develop technical and environmental policies and procedures for use by the Investment and Asset Management teams, leveraging existing systems and best practices.

• Establish and maintain relationships with development partners, contractors, consultants, and other service providers.

• Demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and assume responsibility following the introductory period.

• Willingness to travel as necessary.

Required Skills/Qualifications/Experience

Qualifications: Bachelor's/Master's Degree or Post Master's Degree.
Experience:
1. Approximately 5-8 years of experience in technical real estate management.
2. A solid foundation in commercial real estate and construction law, building design, construction methodologies, programming and costs, as well as engineering techniques and systems.
3. Proven ability to lead and motivate third-party consultants and contractors to achieve specified project objectives.
