Position Overview

As a Senior Risk Management Officer, you will report directly to the Managing Director of Crypto Finance Deutschland. Your primary responsibility will be to establish and oversee a robust risk management framework that adheres to all regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and mitigate risks affecting the organization, its personnel, stakeholders, assets, and operations.
  • Develop and implement strategies and policies that establish a comprehensive framework, tools, procedures, and internal control standards for effective risk identification and management.
  • Oversee and monitor the enterprise risk management initiatives within the organization.
  • Facilitate regular risk and control assessments, enhance risk control structures, address identified weaknesses, and prepare reports for senior management.
  • Conduct independent risk assessments and analyses to identify potential or specific new risks related to products, operations, technology, or security.
  • Manage risk-related projects and collaborate closely with various business functions.
  • Advise senior management on specific risk scenarios and recommend appropriate actions to mitigate these risks.
  • Oversee loss event reporting, incident reporting, and root cause investigations.
  • Promote a risk-aware culture and mentor staff in adopting new risk management practices.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in finance, economics, or a technology-related field.
  • 5+ years of relevant experience in Risk, Compliance, Audit, or Controlling.
  • Experience in the cryptocurrency sector or trading is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with German financial market regulations is a plus.
  • Proficient in Excel.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a structured approach to implementation.
  • A dynamic individual with an innovative mindset, positive attitude, and strong motivational abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and detail-oriented.
  • Fluency in English; proficiency in German is an advantage.
