About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Manager of IT Service Monitoring to join our Trading Service Hub team at EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our IT systems, minimizing service disruptions, and supporting the organization's business objectives.

Your primary focus will be on designing, implementing, and optimizing business process and IT service monitoring using EnBW frameworks. You will work closely with our IT service teams, developers, and business analysts to ensure that our monitoring systems meet organizational needs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the design, implementation, and optimization of business process and IT service monitoring
  • Developing, configuring, and managing alarm systems for 24/7 operations
  • Providing expert consulting on the use of EnBW frameworks for monitoring and business process optimization
  • Overseeing the technical administration, maintenance, and user management of the monitoring platform
  • Creating and maintaining a monitoring catalogue that details existing monitors and provides a framework for integrating monitoring data early in the development process
  • Collecting, analyzing, and reporting on key business process metrics to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for optimization
  • Implementing security monitoring within the EnBW environment to detect and respond to security incidents

We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced professional with a strong background in IT operations, technical and business process monitoring, software development, and common IT systems prevalent in European commodity trading.

Key qualifications include:

  • University degree in computer science, business informatics, mathematics, or a related field
  • Proven track record of relevant professional experience in IT
  • Proficient in using monitoring solutions like DataDog or Nagios for setting up dashboards, metrics, and alerts
  • Strong experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, and GCP, including proficiency with cloud-native tools like Kubernetes and Docker
  • Skilled in data collection, analysis, and visualization, with expertise in data analysis tools and languages
  • Experienced in setting up and managing monitoring and alerting systems, with knowledge of incident response protocols and log management tools
  • Well-versed in security monitoring tools and practices, with an understanding of compliance standards and regulatory requirements
