We are seeking a highly skilled Postdoctoral Researcher in Computational Genetics to join our team at the Berlin Institute of Health. The successful candidate will play a key role in our research efforts, focusing on the analysis and interpretation of large-scale genomic data.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement computational workflows for processing and analysis of large-scale genome sequencing efforts
- Manage and analyze large phenotypic datasets for genetic analysis
- Prepare and publish scientific articles
- Integrate different types of 'omic' data for causal inference and prioritization of drug targets and disease mechanisms
- Train and supervise junior researchers in molecular epidemiology
Requirements:
- PhD in statistical genetics, genetic epidemiology, or a closely related field
- Extensive experience in computational genetics, genome-scale association analyses, and high-throughput genetic and genomic data analysis
- Strong programming skills in languages such as R or Python
- Aptitude for biological inference and clinical translation
- Fluent written and spoken English
