Postdoctoral Researcher

As a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Delbrück Center (MDC), you will contribute to a groundbreaking project on alternative splicing in single-cell transcriptomics. This collaborative effort between the Irimia lab at the CRG in Barcelona and the MDC in Berlin aims to uncover the mechanisms behind transcriptomic diversification and its impact on human physiology and disease.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and optimize computational tools to identify and quantify alternative splicing using single-cell RNA-seq data
- Collaborate with researchers in Berlin and Barcelona to study alternative splicing heterogeneity, gene expression, and its association with disease contexts
- Contribute to the analysis of experimental systems to answer key questions on alternative splicing regulation and cell type identity
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced researcher with a strong background in computational transcriptomics, bioinformatics, and/or molecular biology. Previous experience in software development and successful collaborations with non-computational researchers are highly advantageous.
