The RoleAs our Satellite Operations Specialist, you will be joining our Mission Operations Engineering team, responsible for the following key areas:
- Operational Excellence: Ensure the smooth operation of our satellite constellation, adhering to established processes and procedures.
- On-Call Support: Participate in our on-call support program, providing timely and effective support to ensure minimal downtime.
- Documentation and Reporting: Create and maintain technical documentation, operational reports, and reviews to ensure transparency and accountability.
- Process Improvement: Collaborate with the team to identify areas for improvement and implement changes to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.
- Verification and Validation: Participate in the verification and validation of mission operations, ensuring that our tools, procedures, and processes meet the highest standards.
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in satellite operations, systems engineering, and project development lifecycle.
Key qualifications include:
- A degree in aerospace engineering or a related field.
- Proven experience in satellite operations, with a strong understanding of systems engineering principles and project development lifecycle.
- Knowledge of Earth observation mission operations, including constraints and challenges.
- Development skills in Java and Python, with experience in SQL (PostgreSQL) and Git.
- Familiarity with ECSS standards and ability to rapidly expand application-specific knowledge sets and skills.
- A holistic view of satellite systems and components, with excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively in a distributed team environment.
