Software Community Engagement Specialist, Germany

At Grafana Labs, we're passionate about empowering community members to succeed with our projects. As a Software Community Engagement Specialist, you'll play a key role in supporting our team's engagement with the open-source and developer communities.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Developing regional community strategies to grow the Grafana community
  • Organizing events, such as meetups, with a willingness to travel up to 30% of the time
  • Supporting and developing engagement programs and processes to serve the growing Grafana community better
  • Connecting with the Grafana community through online and in-person channels

You'll also be responsible for building relationships with internal teams to enable them to contribute to the community through different activities.

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • 2+ years of experience supporting developer communities across a global, regional, and local setting
  • 2+ years of experience organizing events, such as meetups and conferences
  • Meaningful and compassionate relationship-building skills, especially with community members and affinity groups
  • Experience leading a project with creative and thoughtful approaches to program execution and process improvements
  • Ability to coordinate a wide range of incoming requests and opportunities
  • Analytical and research skills to understand and share the needs and health of the community
  • Comfort working autonomously and being proactive in a distributed environment
  • Willingness to help solve problems and provide feedback from the community to the company
  • Must be located in Germany

Bonus points will be given for:

  • Familiarity or experience in the open-source community
  • Understanding or experience in the observability community
  • Familiarity or experience with Grafana Labs technology
  • Proficiency in additional language(s)

In Germany, the base compensation range for this role is EUR 56,000 - EUR 67,000. Actual compensation may vary based on level, experience, and skillset as assessed in the interview process. Benefits include equity, bonus (if applicable), and other benefits listed on our website.
