Your Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Development Assurance Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our Quality Assurance department, you will be responsible for ensuring the development of our electric air taxis meets the highest standards of quality, safety, and reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Development Assurance Activities according to DevQA processes
- Mentor Development Team on System, Software, and Hardware topics
- Monitor supplier activities on System, Software, and Hardware topics
- Define Development Assurance Plans, procedures, and work instructions
- Communicate and align with Certification Authorities on Development Assurance topics
- Mentor and train other engineers on Development Assurance topics and DevQA processes
- Act as an Airworthiness Engineer, creating Certification Plans related to Design Assurance topics
- Execute Design Assurance Audits, both internally and at suppliers
Requirements
- BS degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Aeronautical Engineering, or similar
- Minimum 10 years of experience in DO-178B/C and/or ARP 4754(A) and/or DO-254
- Minimum 5 years of experience in Quality Assurance
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and auditing skills
- Business fluent in English; other languages like German a plus
- Taking initiative, showing curiosity, asking probing questions, and challenging the status quo
