Food Ingredients Sales and Technical Specialist

We are seeking a driven and goal-oriented Sales & Technical Manager with a robust technical foundation in Food Technology or Science. The ideal candidate will possess substantial experience in sales, specifically within the German market and German-speaking regions.
The selected individual will oversee the complete sales cycle, from identifying prospects and generating leads to negotiating and finalizing agreements.
Key Responsibilities- Demonstrate exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities to engage effectively with clients, comprehend their requirements, and articulate the technical features of our products clearly and persuasively.
- Maintain current knowledge of the German food industry landscape, including market trends, competitors, and potential clients, to uncover new opportunities and respond to market dynamics.
- Build and nurture relationships to establish trust and provide technical assistance, fostering long-term partnerships with customers.
- Adopt a problem-solving approach to tackle technical issues and deliver solutions for clients, including troubleshooting product challenges and suggesting enhancements.
- Exhibit adaptability to evolving market conditions, customer preferences, and new product offerings, alongside a capacity to swiftly grasp emerging technologies and innovations in the sector.
- Utilize proficient sales strategies, including prospecting, lead generation, negotiation, and deal closure.
- Collaborate effectively with the existing sales team and other departments, such as technical support and customer service.
- Fluency in German is essential, with proficiency in English often required for international business communications and internal collaboration.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Food Technology, Science, or a related field is essential for understanding and effectively promoting our products and their applications.
- Comprehensive knowledge of raw materials utilized in the food sector, ideally with insights into the food supply chain and its specific demands.
- Demonstrated success in B2B sales of food industry raw materials, particularly in segments utilizing hydrocolloids. Familiarity with industry regulations and standards is a significant asset.
- Strong technical acumen regarding the chemistry, properties, and applications of ingredients commonly used in food preparation. The ability to discuss product specifications, quality benchmarks, and usage with clients is crucial.
