About the Role

We are seeking an experienced M&A Partner to join our team at Marktlink in Berlin. As a key member of our deal team, you will be responsible for building and managing a network of trusted relationships, advising and guiding our mid-market clients through the entire buy-side or sell-side process, and driving the growth of our business in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute a strategy to build a close-knit team of dealmakers, initially three to four members, with a goal of growing to at least 25 team members or a leading position in the market.
  • Establish and run a dynamic M&A office, acquiring leads and completing M&A transactions in the mid-market.
  • Collaborate with the Marktlink partners and colleagues to develop and implement ambitious business plans for the country's market.
  • Design and execute commercial and marketing activities to position Marktlink as a leader in the M&A market in Berlin.
Requirements
  • An active network with trusted relationships and demonstrable successes in dealmaking and acquiring mid-market M&A engagements in Berlin.
  • An extensive track record in dealmaking in Berlin.
  • Native-level German and professional-level English language skills.
  • 7-10 years' experience in Corporate Finance Advisory, preferably in a Big 4, M&A Boutique, or Corporate Finance firm.
  • Strong focus on high-quality service provision.
  • Technically strong, generating trust through expertise.
  • Outgoing personality, strong communicator, commercially energetic, intrinsically curious, and driven.
  • An excellent CV in terms of professional qualifications and career path.
  • High IQ and EQ, with excellent numeracy skills and strong strategic insight.
