Are you a seasoned professional with a passion for energy markets and commodities trading? Do you have a strong background in finance, economics, or a related field? We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Originator to join our E.ON Energy Markets GmbH team.

About the Role

  • Grow E.ON's sourcing activities and value contribution through complex commodity transactions
  • Identify and capture commercial opportunities in existing and new markets for E.ON
  • Develop and execute hedging and risk mitigation strategies for origination transactions
  • Work closely with E.ON's portfolio management and front office departments to preserve and grow the value of our portfolio
  • Analyze markets, identify commercial opportunities, and develop sound origination strategies
  • Contribute to E.ON's earnings target by delivering on/above budget

About You

  • University degree in economics, finance, physics, or engineering
  • Strong technical and quantitative skills
  • Excellent understanding of option pricing theories and tools
  • Able to develop pricing tools for market-based valuation of flexible power offtakes, gas storages, and other physical energy assets
  • Highly entrepreneurial individual with a proven track record in PnL contribution and complex commodity transactions
  • Deep understanding of financial and physical energy markets, particularly in Europe
