About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join Rodenstock GmbH as a key member of the Global Distribution Partners (GDP) team, responsible for driving commercial growth and developing strategic partnerships across the globe.

As Commercial Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a new business model for the Mid-Tier segment within the GDP network, focusing on the optoVision and Indo markets.

You will also define and adapt the product portfolio's impact and commercialize the offering to individual markets and new partners, building strong relationships and trust with international distributors and collaborating with product management, trainers, and marketers.

Additionally, you will develop and implement partner training concepts, supply marketing support for related brands, and roll out photochromic blanks (ColorMatic) to production facilities, including new customer acquisition in markets and sales responsibility.

As part of the GDP Management team, you will drive the overall Partner business worldwide for Rodenstock Group, supervising and contributing to project teams and taking on management responsibility for one employee, with opportunities for team expansion.

Your Profile
  • A commercial background with completed studies in business administration is essential.
  • You should have solid professional experience in the optical industry, preferably in Sales, Product Management, or Marketing.
  • Expertise in sales strategy, particularly in B2B and distributor relationships, as well as sales-related finance topics and cross-functional project management is required.
  • You should be comfortable working within a matrix structure, ideally with international experience in sales/commercial excellence.
  • Affinity for IT and digitalization is a plus, and you should have a good command of MS Office, SAP, and QlikView.
  • Fluency in Business English is essential, with other languages desirable.
  • You should be willing to travel internationally (approximately 50-70 days annually) and possess strong intercultural/cross-cultural competence and social skills.
  • A strategic mindset with the ability to dive into detail and focus on implementation and customer orientation is essential.
