Overview

TÜV SÜD is a leading provider of testing, inspection, and certification services. We are seeking an experienced Commercial Strategy Director to drive sustainable growth in our Commercial Products Business Unit in ASEAN.

Job Description

We are looking for a strategic leader who can shape and execute comprehensive business plans, driving profitable growth across industries including Industrial, Energy, and Transportation sectors. As the Commercial Strategy Director, you will be responsible for budgeting, P&L, and sales, with a focus on achieving year-on-year sales growth and improved operating results.

You will conceptualize, develop, and execute business and Go-To-Market strategies, aligning with Global Divisional, Regional, and Local Service Line teams. You will identify and respond to business and market trends, opportunities, and customer needs, strategically determining the focus of the BU.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales management and/or consulting, with at least 10 years of experience in global organizations. They should have team leadership experience and technical knowledge of specific industries and products required for the Business Unit.

Key Responsibilities

  • Drive sustainable and profitable growth in product testing, inspection, and certification services across industries
  • Set the direction to drive sales and business development activities to achieve commercial success
  • Ensure synergy between the Business Lines and Service Lines for your business
  • Responsible for budgeting, P&L, and sales for Commercial Products Business Unit in ASEAN
  • Conceptualize, develop, and execute business and Go-To-Market strategies
  • Align with Global Divisional, Regional, and Local Service Line teams on the business strategies
  • Identify and respond to business and market trends, opportunities, and customer needs

Qualifications

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline or further studies in Business or MBA
  • Minimum of 10 years of sales management and/or consulting experience in global organisations
  • Team leadership experience is required for this role
  • Technical knowledge of specific industries and products required for the Business Unit

Salary

The estimated salary for this position is around $120,000-$180,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
