Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our team at ITT Bornemann GmbH. As a Mechanical Engineer - Pump Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for designing and developing pump systems and its auxiliary units as a turnkey process solution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop project and tender documents for pump systems and its auxiliary units.
  • Lead the construction and design of automated pump systems, including layout planning, pipeline planning, valve selection, pressure design, instrumentation, explosion protection, structural planning, and hydraulic auxiliary systems.
  • Perform calculations for the dimensioning and design of system components, including ASME and AD2000 standards.
  • Collaborate closely with the project team, including the project manager, electrical engineer, and project buyer.
  • Analyze and evaluate customer specifications to support offers and project execution.
  • Examine mechanical/hydraulic supply documents and components in relation to the defined service description.
  • Plan and support system function tests and provide technical support to the commissioning team.
Requirements
  • Completed studies as a mechanical engineer or comparable.
  • Several years of professional experience in pump systems design and development.
  • Ability to assume responsibility for work packages in the engineering of pump products.
  • Willingness to have customer contact and communicate effectively.
  • Basic knowledge of process engineering systems desirable.
  • Proficiency in English language, spoken and written.
  • Good computer skills, user software (Autocad Inventor, Office package, Visio or similar).
  • Flexible, goal- and cost-oriented working methods in project teams.
  • Ability to work in a team across departments.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally for project meetings, sales, and commissioning support worldwide.
