Procurement Director

The ideal candidate will lead and drive all procurement activities, overseeing both direct and indirect commodities, and guiding a global team of 50+ professionals across Germany and international locations. As the Chief Procurement Officer, you will be responsible for the entire procurement function, overseeing a total spend of €2.4 billion EUR, driving strategic initiatives, and building robust, long-term relationships with suppliers worldwide. This role requires flexibility, with up to 50% global travel.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead and oversee all procurement efforts for both direct and indirect commodities on a global scale.
- Manage and mentor a high-performing team of 50+ employees across multiple regions.
- Oversee and manage a global budget of €2.4 billion EUR.
- Conduct in-depth market analyses, develop, and maintain strategic supplier partnerships.
- Spearhead innovation, guiding product development and cost optimization initiatives.
- Develop, refine, and implement advanced procurement strategies and processes.
- Drive transformational projects with a focus on achieving millions in cost savings.
- Travel globally up to 50% to engage with suppliers, teams, and key stakeholders.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field; a master's degree or higher is strongly preferred.
- 15+ years of progressive experience in procurement, with significant expertise in both direct and indirect commodities, particularly in electronics, semiconductors, and related sectors.
- Proven leadership experience managing global teams and delivering substantial, multi-million euro cost savings.
- Demonstrated success in leading large-scale, transformational projects, including greenfield initiatives.
- Fluency in both German and English is mandatory, with proficiency in additional languages being an asset.
- Strong strategic vision, with the ability to influence and drive change at all organizational levels.
