Towed Artillery Maintenance Expert

Amentum is seeking a highly skilled Armament Technician to join our team. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of small arms and heavy ordnance systems.
Key Responsibilities- Diagnose and repair complex mechanical issues with small arms and heavy ordnance systems
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including cleaning and lubricating equipment
- Conduct quality control checks to ensure equipment is functioning properly
- Collaborate with other team members to achieve maintenance goals
- Develop and implement procedures for maintaining and repairing equipment
- 1 year of leadership experience required
- High School graduate or equivalent
- Must be able to meet and maintain all base access security requirements
- Must be able to meet and maintain all Logistic Information System (LIS) access requirements (Common Access Card)
- Military experience preferred
- Formal training (Completion of US Army MOS 45K/USMC 2111 or NATO military organization equivalent course or civilian equivalent
- Excellent computer, interpersonal, oral and written communication skills required
- Experience using Global Combat Support System Army (GCSS-A) preferred
- Experience using the Army Tank-automotive and Armaments Command (TACOM) Unique Logistics Support Applications (TULSA) and Logistics Information Warehouse (LIW) preferred
- 3-5 years' experience in military small arms and heavy ordnance repair preferred
- Must be able to obtain and maintain facility credentials/authorization
- Must have or be able to obtain a US Passport
- Must be able to lift 25 lbs. continuously, 50 intermittently
- Ability to perform job duties efficiently and effectively up to a 48-hour work week
- Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required)
- Works alone, with and around others, verbal/face-to-face contact, inside/outside, extended days, confined areas, extreme heat/cold, temperature changes, wet and/or humid, noise, mechanical and electrical equipment, high places, fumes/odors and dirt/dust
- Must be able to endure long hours (overtime as required), exposure to weather and hazardous conditions
- May be required to deploy on missions on short notice at the direction of the PMO
