EU Technical Manager

Job Summary:

Milliken & Company, a global leader in materials science, is seeking an experienced technical leader to join its Coating Additives business as an EU Technical Manager. This role will be based in Langenfeld, Germany, and will involve leading product development and technical service in Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Management of the EU R&D and Technical Service teams to align with overall strategy and objectives.
  • Oversight of R&D and technical service project portfolios, ensuring on-time and in-scope project completion.
  • Establishment of team objectives, optimization of team performance, and development of associate skills.
  • Supervision of international contacts with customers and suppliers at technical level.
  • Responsible for driving Milliken EH&S processes and continuous improvement.
  • Maintenance of lab equipment and specification of new equipment.
  • Documentation of work in lab memos or reports and monthly updates to management.
  • Presentation at tradeshows and conferences.

Requirements:

  • Experienced technical leader with a strong scientific background and experience in coatings industry.
  • MSc or PhD degree in chemistry or comparable industrial experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants or elastomers industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical leadership experience.
  • Fluency in English, German language skills preferred.
