Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced EU Technical Manager to lead our Coating Additives business in Europe. As a key member of our technical team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing technical strategies to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the EU R&D and Technical Service teams to develop and implement technical strategies that align with business objectives.
  • Oversee R&D and technical service project portfolios, ensuring timely and within-scope project completion.
  • Establish and maintain relationships with customers and suppliers at a technical level, providing excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Drive Milliken's EH&S processes and continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage lab equipment, including specification and installation of new equipment, and maintain awareness of the latest techniques and formulations/raw materials.
  • Document work in lab memos or reports, and provide monthly updates to management.
  • Present at tradeshows and conferences, and travel as required (estimated 30% maximum).

Qualifications

  • Experienced technical leader with a strong scientific background and experience in the coatings industry.
  • MSc or PhD degree in chemistry, or comparable industrial experience.
  • Minimum of 10 years work experience in coatings, adhesives, sealants or elastomers industry.
  • Minimum of 5 years of technical leadership experience.
  • Fluency in English, with German language skills preferred.
