At Hannover Re, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced professional to join our Group Strategy & Sustainability team as a Sustainability Manager. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for coordinating and implementing Group-wide sustainability initiatives, including regulatory requirements and ESG-related reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Coordinate and implement Group-wide sustainability initiatives, including regulatory requirements and ESG-related reporting.
  • Develop and maintain in-depth knowledge of ESG-related EU regulations and underlying frameworks.
  • Lead or participate in cross-divisional or global projects related to sustainability and ESG.
  • Analyze global trends and develop strategic sustainability goals.
  • Support the integration of relevant information into data management systems.
  • Track publications on complex ESG regulations and derive appropriate measures.

Requirements:

  • Several years of professional experience in sustainability management in a large corporation, preferably in a financial services company or a global consulting firm.
  • Master's or postgraduate degree, preferably in business administration, business law, or political science.
  • In-depth knowledge of ESG-related EU regulations and underlying frameworks.
  • Experience in leading or participating in cross-divisional or global projects.
  • Strong communication skills paired with German at a conversational level and English at a business fluent level.
  • An independent way of working, entrepreneurial thinking, and acting as well as a pronounced solution orientation.
