About the Role:
We are seeking a highly experienced Data Privacy Manager to join our Global Privacy Office at HCLTech. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with all privacy/data protection laws and regulations applicable to our client delivery environment across geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure compliance with all privacy/data protection laws and regulations, including GDPR, in our client delivery environment.
- Monitor developments in local legal landscapes and identify actionable items for our Global Privacy Office and client delivery teams.
- Manage communications and interactions with local Data Protection Authorities, including registration of DPOs and notification of data processing activities.
- Own and manage all privacy projects at strategic and tactical levels, implementing client and HCL's privacy programs before project 'go-live'.
- Support Business Assurance teams in implementation and testing of corporate privacy baseline controls.
- Manage all types of privacy inquiries and requests, including Data Subject Access Requests, employee inquiries, and client privacy assessments.
- Liaise with Cyber Security, IT, and other stakeholders as applicable.
- End-to-end management of privacy incidents, data breaches, and other related activities.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12+ years of overall corporate experience, with 8-10 years directly related to data protection/data privacy.
- Excellent understanding of data protection fundamentals and regulatory frameworks, including GDPR.
- Ability to succeed in a complex corporate system and navigate a global environment.
