Job Summary:
HCLTech is seeking a highly skilled Data Privacy Manager to join our Global Privacy Office. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring ongoing compliance with all privacy/data protection laws and regulations across geographies.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor developments in local legal landscapes and identify actionable items for the Global Privacy Office and client delivery teams.
- Formulate engagement-specific privacy policies and procedures to operate the privacy framework within the delivery environment.
- Manage communications and interactions with local Data Protection Authorities, including registration of DPOs and notification of data processing activities.
- Own and manage all privacy projects at strategic and tactical levels.
- Lead and manage strategic discussions with client teams, including client privacy offices.
- Implement client and HCL privacy programs before project go-live and ensure ground-level implementation of privacy controls.
- Conduct HCL-led Privacy Risk Assessments and ensure client PIA/DPIA schedules are adhered to.
- Support Business Assurance teams in implementation and testing of corporate privacy baseline controls.
- Manage all types of privacy inquiries and requests, including Data Subject Access Requests and employee inquiries.
Requirements:
- Minimum 12+ years of corporate experience, with 8-10 years directly related to data protection/data privacy.
- Excellent understanding of data protection fundamentals and regulatory frameworks, including GDPR.
- Graduation in an advanced discipline, such as Law, Economics, Physics, Electronics, Computer Science, B.Tech./B.E./BCA.
- Experience in implementing and managing a Privacy program or risk-based governance program in a multi-national and complex environment.
- CIPP/E certification is mandatory.
