Job Summary:
Optimus Life Sciences is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to join our team in the High-Tech Pharmaceutical Engineering sector. As a key member of our construction team, you will be responsible for ensuring the successful execution of construction projects, from design to completion.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and ensure compliant construction execution, analyzing and mitigating risks to ensure project success.
- Manage and deliver clean and black utility systems for Biopharmaceutical Facilities as project engineer, overseeing design, procurement, project execution, and turn-over to operations.
- Coordinate subcontractors to ensure quality on the construction site, controlling and reviewing construction progress.
- Participate in Factory Acceptance Tests (FATs) to deliver qualitatively acceptable equipment to the site in a timely manner.
- Oversee erection activities and Site Acceptance Tests (SAT) regarding transferred process equipment.
- Participate in site inspections and acceptance tests to ensure compliance and quality.
- Organize daily coordination meetings and work schedules to ensure project progress.
- Oversee and review engineering documents created by contractors, checking and approving measurements.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering/Science (e.g. Mechanical, Construction) preferred.
- Minimum 5 years or more Construction programs experience in Pharmaceutical / Industrial Engineering projects.
- Professional experience in construction management or project management.
- German and English language skills.
- At least 5 years of experience in biopharma projects.
- Strong communication skills and collaborative mindset.
- Significant experience in an engineering environment with a focus on execution and project delivery.
