About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our Amazon Web Services Development Center Germany GmbH - R28 team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing and developing innovative cloud-based solutions that enhance the developer experience on AWS.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop new architectures based on business requirements
  • Lead the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Collaborate with internal engineering teams, leading technology companies, and the open source community
  • Develop cloud-based solutions that delight software developers and system administrators globally
  • Participate in on-call rotation and contribute to the growth and development of every member of the team
Requirements
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • Experience leading the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Experience in professional, non-internship software development
  • Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Java, C++, or C# including object-oriented design
  • Experience in development in the last 3 years
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Experience in the AI/ML space
