About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Software Development Engineer to join our team at Amazon Development Center Germany GmbH. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge software solutions that transform the delivery experience for our customers.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop software solutions that meet the needs of our customers and business stakeholders
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of software solutions
  • Lead the architecture and design of new and current systems, ensuring scalability, reliability, and performance
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including design patterns, coding standards, and best practices
  • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, ensuring they have the skills and knowledge needed to succeed

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in software development, with a focus on mobile applications and embedded systems
  • Expert knowledge of Java, Android Architecture, and performance optimization
  • Experience contributing to the architecture and design of new and current systems
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
  • Knowledge of professional software engineering practices and best practices for the full software development life cycle
  • Experience leading and influencing teams, with a focus on technical leadership and mentorship
