Business Analyst Intern

Covestro's Controlling team is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented intern to support our financial planning and forecasting processes. As a Business Analyst Intern, you will play a crucial role in helping our management team make informed decisions by analyzing and refining our tools and processes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and implementation of financial planning and forecasting models to help the management team efficiently run the business.
  • Contribute to the preparation of strategy conferences and participate in strategic projects that drive Covestro's sustainability goals.
  • Perform detailed profitability analyses for different product groups and regions using statistical models.
  • Review and analyze marketing, sales, and manufacturing costs to help Covestro meet its cost targets.
  • Prepare presentations and reports for Covestro's high-level management team.
  • Support ad-hoc analysis of relevant business data and project-related tasks, such as circular economy and energy-efficiency projects.
  • Conceptual work, including the optimization of existing tools, applications, and processes.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master's degree in Controlling, Accounting, Finance, or a comparable field.
  • Practical experience in Controlling, Accounting, or Finance is highly desirable.
  • Excellent user skills in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
  • High command of digitalization and automation skills, such as R, Python, or VBA.
  • Analytical mindset and strong communication skills to present concepts and ideas to stakeholders on a global level.
  • Ability to multitask and achieve high-quality results.
  • Proficient German and English skills.

Duration and Location:

The internship is expected to last 4 to 6 months. After the initial training sessions in Leverkusen, mobile working within Germany will be possible.
