Global Market Director, Coating Additives

Job Summary:

We're seeking a seasoned leader to join our Coating Additives business as a Global Market Development Leader. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for evaluating and prioritizing growth opportunities in our core coatings, adhesives, sealants, and elastomers (CASE) segment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct in-depth market research to identify, size, and develop compelling business cases for growth opportunities.
  • Prioritize projects for application development, co-supplier engagement, and new product development.
  • Liaise with co-suppliers to identify market trends and prioritize technical engagement for starting point formulation development.
  • Develop a deep understanding of Milliken products and internal capabilities to inform decision-making and strategy development.
  • Collaborate with sales, product management, and technical teams to develop and execute growth strategies.
  • Provide administrative leadership and development for the global market development team.
  • Travel globally up to 50% of the time.

Requirements:

We're looking for an experienced leader with a track record of developing and implementing new product growth programs in a business-to-business environment.

  • Chemistry, Material Science, Chemical Engineer, or related technical degree required.
  • Fluency in English is a must.
  • At least 10 years of professional work experience in the paint and coatings industry, with expertise in marketing, business development, and sales.
  • External bias, with experience interviewing customers and other experts to uncover key insights.
  • Deep understanding of value proposition development and competitive product positioning.
  • A high-energy leader with experience working with global, cross-functional teams.
  • A strong sense of ownership and a growth mentality.
