About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Accounting Professional to join our team at Siemens Mobility GmbH. As an Accounting Professional, you will be responsible for managing the accounts payable process for our in-country Siemens Mobility GmbH entities, as well as related accounting and financial reporting tasks.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert advice and support to operational business units and Accounting Shared Services in the Czech Republic (GBS) on accounting and financial matters related to accounts payable.
  • Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual closing activities for accounts payable in collaboration with colleagues in the Accounting Shared Services in the Czech Republic and other departments (e.g., tax department).
  • Manage and reconcile accounts payable transactions, including verifying and processing invoices, credit notes, and other related documents.
  • Oversee the implementation of accounting policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS and HGB standards.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including operational business units, Accounting Shared Services, and other departments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to increase efficiency and quality in accounts payable.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of internal controls for financial reporting (ICFR).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in accounting or a related field, preferably in an international company or a Big Four accounting firm.
  • Excellent knowledge of IFRS and HGB accounting standards.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with internal stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in SAP R/3 (Module FI) and Microsoft 365 applications (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, MS Teams, Viva Engage/Yammer).
  • Knowledge of process automation tools (e.g., KNIME, UiPath, Microsoft Power Automate, Microsoft Power Query) is an asset.
  • Excellent written and spoken English skills, with a strong command of German language.
