**Join Our International Law & Global Trading Team**

We're seeking a highly skilled professional to advise our global energy business on regulatory matters, ensuring compliance with national and European regulations. Key responsibilities include:

  • **Regulatory Compliance**: Review physical and financial commodity transactions, such as power, natural gas, hydrogen, coal, oil, freight, emissions, green certificates, ammonia, and LNG, to ensure regulatory compliance.
  • **Investigations and Inquiries**: Lead or assist internal investigations and responses to internal and external inquiries related to trading compliance, including REMIT II and MAR.
  • **Regulatory Implementation**: Play a key role in implementing energy market and financial regulation requirements.
  • **Training and Development**: Create and present live classroom and online trainings for front office and support colleagues.
  • **Stakeholder Collaboration**: Coordinate with members of the Legal & Compliance team and relevant stakeholders to resolve day-to-day trading compliance issues.
  • **Special Projects**: Assist with special projects as needed.

**Requirements**

  • Strong academic background in law or economics.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience advising on national and European regulations, particularly in commodities or financial market trading.
  • Specific experience in MiFID II, EMIR, and MAR required.
  • Specific experience in REMIT II and/or SFTR preferred but not required.
  • Strong attention to detail, analytical skills, judgment, enthusiasm, and interpersonal skills.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple initiatives simultaneously in a dynamic, fast-paced, global environment.
  • Ability to take the lead and work independently on responsibilities.
  • Ability to interact with all levels of management.
  • Excellent verbal and written command of the English language essential; German language skills desirable.
