Job Description

We are seeking a highly qualified Professor of Hydromechanics and Climate-Friendly Water Management to join our faculty at the Technische Hochschule Ostwestfalen-Lippe. The successful candidate will have a strong background in education and research in the field of water management, with excellent knowledge in several subject areas, including hydromechanics, fluid dynamics, and sustainable development of water bodies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Represent the department in teaching and research, with a focus on climate-friendly water management
  • Develop and teach courses in hydromechanics, fluid dynamics, and sustainable development of water bodies
  • Conduct research in the field of water management, with a focus on climate change and digitalization
  • Collaborate with other departments and faculties to promote interdisciplinary teaching and research
  • Develop and implement innovative teaching formats, including digital teaching
Requirements
  • Ph.D. in a relevant field, such as civil engineering or hydrology
  • At least five years of professional experience, with at least three years outside of the university sector
  • Excellent knowledge of German and English, with the ability to teach in both languages
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with colleagues and students
