We are looking for a Data Analytics Engineer to join our team in Berlin. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a rapidly growing and dynamic environment, where you will have the chance to make a significant impact on the digital experience of millions of consumers.
As a Data Analytics Engineer, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data architectures that enable faster time-to-insights for our analytics teams. You will also be working closely with product analytics teams, data engineering teams, and external data teams to improve data trustworthiness and enable greater self-serve capabilities.
This role requires a strong growth mindset, creativity, and problem-solving abilities. You should be able to identify root causes of analytics pain points, propose and drive solutions with external teams, and be comfortable getting hands-on or implementing quick fixes to unblock the business.
The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of relevant analytics/data engineering experience, solid production-grade experience with workflow management tools and config-driven data build tooling, as well as strong skills in schema design, dimensional data modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets.
You will be working in a cross-functional squad & tribe that focuses on different aspects of our user experience. The team is structured to provide opportunities for collaboration, learning, and growth.
Apart from your technical expertise, we value good communication skills, the ability to explain complex technical projects to non-technical stakeholders, and a willingness to take ownership of your tasks and support the team.
Key Responsibilities:- Data Architecture: Design and implement data architectures that enable faster time-to-insights for analytics teams.
- Data Stewardship: Work with analytics managers to create an analytics data blueprint and execution plan, and participate in data steering committee meetings to address data quality issues and improve data accessibility.
- Documentation and Communication: Create and track metrics to showcase the impact of data initiatives, manage communication to ensure key stakeholders are informed, and maintain good documentation of our data and data processes.
- 4+ years of relevant analytics/data engineering experience
- Solid production-grade experience with workflow management tools (Airflow) and config-driven data build tooling (DBT)
- Strong skills in schema design, dimensional data modeling, SQL, and working with large datasets
- Experience with enabling data quality observability, monitoring, and alerting
- Ability to drive and manage medium-scale project initiatives
- Good English communication skills
- Basic experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau)
We offer a competitive salary of €80,000 - €110,000 per year, depending on your level of experience and qualifications. We also provide a range of benefits, including hybrid working model, health insurance, educational budget, and corporate discounts.
