Job Description

As a Senior Data Engineer at Sonova, you will play a crucial role in developing a central marketing data platform, ensuring the reliable and scalable integration of various marketing-related data sources.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement data pipelines on Azure to meet business requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a new data warehouse on Azure, ensuring data quality, consistency, and usability.
  • Create scripts to restructure and populate data, ensuring seamless data flow across systems.
  • Migrate existing pipelines to run on Azure, optimizing performance and efficiency.
  • Coordinate with analytics stakeholders to design effective data models, meeting business needs.
  • Ensure timely delivery of high-quality data products, aligning with business objectives.
  • Update data population scripts to reflect changes in data models and pipelines, maintaining data accuracy.
  • Develop comprehensive documentation for all data pipelines, facilitating collaboration and knowledge sharing.
Your Profile:
  • A minimum of 5-8 years of experience in data engineering, with a strong track record of building professional data pipelines.
  • Proven expertise in Azure services, including Data Bricks, Data Factory, and Synapse Analytics.
  • Proficiency in SQL (PL/SQL) and Python programming languages.
  • Experience in data lake and data warehouse modeling techniques, with a focus on data quality and usability.
  • Ability to process both structured and unstructured data, ensuring seamless data integration.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with a pragmatic approach to understanding business requirements.
  • A willingness to continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and best practices.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to provide clear explanations and creative solutions to complex problems.
