PhD Student Position in Optimal Transport and Machine Learning

We are seeking a highly motivated PhD student to join our research group in optimal transport and machine learning. The successful candidate will work on developing principled optimal transport theory and its applications in machine learning and optimization.

The PhD student will be part of our research group in data-driven optimization and control, which focuses on developing novel methods for optimization and control in complex systems. The group has a strong track record of publishing high-quality research papers in top-tier conferences and journals.

The PhD student will have the opportunity to work with Dr. Jia-Jie Zhu, a leading expert in optimal transport and machine learning. The student will also have access to state-of-the-art research facilities and a vibrant research community.

We are looking for candidates with a strong background in computer science, statistics, or applied mathematics, and a special focus on machine learning or optimization. The ideal candidate will have a strong research statement and a clear vision for their PhD project.

The PhD student will receive a competitive salary and benefits package, including a company pension plan and a subsidy for public transport. The position is limited to 3 years, and the reduced work schedule is 29.25 hours per week.
