Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Regional Legal Counsel to join our team at GEODIS. As a key member of our Legal Department, you will be responsible for providing expert legal advice and support to our business units across Europe.

Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and analyze current legal developments and their implications on our business.
  • Review and negotiate German and international contracts to ensure compliance with our company's policies and procedures.
  • Support the development and implementation of training programs for our employees.
  • Manage the contract review process to ensure timely and accurate completion.
  • Prepare and update sample contracts to ensure consistency and compliance.
  • Support claims and insurance matters, and oversee data recording and maintenance of legal databases.
  • Optimize processes in the Regional Legal Department to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Europe Region General Counsel to provide day-to-day legal support.
Requirements
  • Master's or Bachelor's Degree in Law, preferably in German Law.
  • Minimum 2 to 5 years of professional experience in a related field.
  • Knowledge of German civil and commercial law.
  • Experience in international commercial law is desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a multidisciplinary and international team environment.
  • Fluent in English and German.
