Role and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Finance Business Partner to join our team at Siemens Digital Industries. As a key member of our finance team, you will be responsible for supporting the organization in project execution of contracts with customers, regional companies, partners, and other Siemens entities.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting commercial/finance-related matters, including handling accounting, legal, tax, foreign exchange, bank guarantees, and insurance.
  • Ensuring the accuracy of costs and pricing calculation as well as overall project financials, incl. recording of such in appropriate systems, e.g., SAP.
  • Supporting monthly project forecasting activities and conduct follow-ups of project results.
  • Supporting project management with monthly project reporting.
  • Responsibility for monthly revenue recognition, contractual invoicing, and cash collection.
  • Assisting Forecast and Budget related tasks, supporting Business Management.
  • Preparing various project reports and analyses.
  • Preparing business reviews and analysis of monthly results to the management.
  • Ensuring the alignment of all financial activities with the internal control system, contact for internal and external audits.
  • Driving new initiatives such as reporting automation and constant change within the team and beyond.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 3-5 years of professional experience in corporate finance management.
  • Academic degree in Finance, Accounting, or equivalent (Master's degree preferred).
  • CPM (Commercial Project Manager) Certification – preferred.
  • Hyperion, Essbase/SmartView, SAP, and Business Objects experience will be a plus.
  • Knowledge of Power BI.
  • Fluent written and verbal communication in Business English & German.
  • Excellent professional knowledge of MS Office (Excel).
  • Relationship management skills, excellent communication skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills combined with a critical approach.
  • High degree of self-initiative with the ability to learn, handle uncertainties, and undertake new challenges.
  • Experience in digitalization and innovation development.
  • Familiar with financial controlling concepts, terminology, systems, procedures, tools, and practices.
