We are seeking an Aerospace Safety Specialist to join our team in a challenging and rewarding role that involves ensuring the safety of aircraft systems.
Job Description
The Aerospace Safety Specialist will be responsible for supporting the Safety Manager in preparation, conduct, and close follow-on actions for safety meetings. This includes generating and reviewing Safety Assessments and Analyses for Aircraft Systems (FHA, pSSA, SSA, FTA, Quantitative and Qualitative Assessments). The successful candidate will also support the Safety manager/System Design Teams/Suppliers to ensure compliance against the safety objectives. Furthermore, they will generate and manage safety-derived requirements through the development life cycle, utilizing Systems Engineering management tools (e.g., DOORS).
In addition, the Aerospace Safety Specialist will conduct reviews of safety artefacts and support the Safety Manager in legislation compliance activities.

Requirements
To be successful as an Aerospace Safety Specialist, you will need to possess the following qualifications:
- Aerospace or Electronics Engineer degree or equivalent
- Knowledge in Aircraft Systems
- Proven knowledge of safety processes, regulations, and guidelines (e.g., Mil-Std 882, ARP 4754A, Def-Stan 00-56, IEC 61508, and ISO 26262)
- Preferrable knowledge of tools like Reliability Workbench (e.g., DOORS)
- Preferrable knowledge of design and development of defence-related projects
- Preferrable knowledge of Requirements-Based-Engineering (RBE) and Model-Based-Systems-Engineering (MBSE)
- Professional oral and written communication skills in English; additional German language skills preferred
Estimated Salary Range
$90,000 - $120,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
