Renewable Energy HSE Specialist

We are seeking a skilled Renewable Energy HSE Specialist - Global Offshore Leader to join our team at Vestas. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of offshore health, safety, and environment (HSE) practices across our global operations.
About the Role:
- Act as a Global Point of Contact for offshore and marine safety, contributing to setting and achieving targets and KPIs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify best practices and ensure global/cross-regional alignment, developing strategies to stay ahead in industry advancements.
- Champion innovation in offshore HSE practices by exploring new technologies, methodologies, and processes.
- Evaluate and establish systems and governance across regions, aligning them with clearly defined global minimum requirements.
- Chair the Offshore HSE Safety Committee and attend industry meetings, providing insight into areas of focus.
- Represent Vestas in industry forums, workgroups, and organizations, influencing developments to protect company interests.
- Perform ad-hoc tasks as defined by the Global HSE Work Practices Manager in support of the business.
About You:
- You have an HSE profile and are enthusiastic about HSE, with a strong interest in joining the offshore renewables industry.
- Hold relevant education within HSE (such as NEBOSH General Certificate or international equivalent).
- GWO Basic Safety Training and BOSIET is welcomed.
- Have at least 5 years of experience from a similar HSE role, especially within wind power/energy in maritime/offshore environments.
- Experience with HSE policies and processes is essential.
- Good IT skills, especially Microsoft Office applications, and the ability to quickly understand new systems.
- Speaking up and leading continuous improvement on HSE topics.
Competencies:
- Liaise effectively with various stakeholders to harness their experience and develop aligned global minimum standards.
- In-depth knowledge of offshore (marine) HSE standards and regulations.
- Ability to conceive, develop, and implement global policies and procedures focusing on simplicity.
- Significant offshore experience with credibility to obtain buy-in from across the business and wider industry.
- Team-oriented professional recognizing good results come from collaboration.
- Offshore lifting operations experience is an advantage.
- Incident investigation training with the ability to articulate clear action plans based on defined root causes.
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary range of $120,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on location and experience, plus additional benefits such as comprehensive health insurance, retirement plan matching, and paid time off.
