Application Security Leader in Energy Transition

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our application security team at E.ON Digital Technology GmbH. As our ideal candidate, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive application security strategy across all software development activities.
You will staff and lead a team of security engineers and work closely with development, DevOps, and IT teams to integrate security practices into the software development lifecycle (SDLC). This role is perfect for someone with extensive experience in application security and secure software development in hybrid environments.
About the Role:- Leadership: Staffing, mentoring, and leading the Application Security team
- Application Security Strategy: Developing, implementing, and maintaining our application security strategy in line with business goals, regulatory, and internal requirements
- Secure Development Lifecycle: Partnering with development, product management, and operations teams to integrate security into the SDLC, ensuring secure coding practices, threat modeling, and code reviews
- Security Tools and Automation: Selecting, implementing, and managing tools for static and dynamic code analysis, and security monitoring to automate security testing
- Compliance and Governance: Creating and maintaining security standards and guidelines in line with our Cyber Security Governance Framework
- Training and Awareness: Supporting application security training and awareness for developers, engineers, and product managers
- Extensive experience in application security and secure software development in hybrid environments
- Track record in leading distributed and diverse teams
- Strong knowledge of secure coding practices and experience with security testing tools
- Deep understanding of international regulations and industry standards and ability to transfer them into internal rules
- Proven experience integrating security into Agile or DevOps environments
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and work collaboratively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Fluency in German and English is mandatory
- Flexibility: Combining office and home working, with up to 20 days per year for workation within Europe

Salary: €120,000 - €150,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
