Energy Transition Expert

We are the trusted advisor to E.ON's top leadership, driving Europe's energy transition forward. As a Principal (m/f/d) with focus on Utilities Infrastructure, you will lead our most critical Energy Networks projects and support implementing significant CAPEX growth to deliver the energy transition for E.ON's largest business segment.

Your Responsibilities:
  • Analyze complex issues facing the energy sector and develop strategic and operational solutions for our energy networks business
  • Lead our most important projects, achieving excellent results and high customer satisfaction working hand-in-hand with the ECON management team
  • Develop long-term relationships with E.ON Group's customers and act as a competent sparring partner for the top management team
  • Contribute to building our business, serving as an expert for E.ON's Top Management and responsible Functional Management at regional grid companies
  • Steer ECON internal expertise and knowledge to accelerate thought leadership topics helping E.ON manage the transformation
  • Take on leadership responsibility for international teams, pushing personal and professional development through regular feedback and coaching sessions
  • Represent ECON in external matters and play a central role in areas like marketing, recruiting, and training
Your Profile:
  • Excellent university degree (master's/diploma) in your pocket, with additional qualifications like a doctorate or MBA welcome
  • Fluency in German and English essential for effective communication within our international team and client base, capable of delivering presentations to board members and collaborating closely with functional management
  • Proven experience as a successful project manager at a leading top management consulting firm or large-scale projects with focus on utilities infrastructure, with at least seven years' relevant work experience
  • Hands-on experience in transformation, process optimization, and digitization within energy infrastructure companies, particularly DSOs, familiarity with technically-driven organizations advantageous
  • Deep understanding of the energy industry's challenges and specific technical & energy-economic complexities of Distribution System Operators, able to translate these challenges into actionable programs driving transformation and tangible results for the energy networks business
  • Exceptional leadership skills inspiring and motivating team members to perform at their best, talent development and fostering professional growth paramount

Estimated annual salary: €120,000 - €180,000 based on location and experience.
