Role Purpose:
The primary objective of the Cybersecurity Threat Analyst is to proactively detect and mitigate unseen cyber threats that may impact our organization and our clients.
The Cybersecurity Threat Analyst will play a crucial role in offering technical expertise in the development and implementation of technology solutions tailored to meet the business requirements of both DXC and its clientele. By utilizing a mix of commercial tools and open-source intelligence, the analyst will assist in delivering Threat Hunting and Incident Response services.
Work Location: Germany
Key Responsibilities:
- Address service requests, inquiries, and issues related to Threat Hunting.
- Oversee the distribution of tasks and the organization of all elements involved in delivering the Threat Hunting service for designated clients.
- Lead significant incident investigations, coordinating the efforts of team members effectively.
- Provide regular updates on the status of client Threat Hunts to management.
- Analyze and correlate findings from various technological platforms, investigating the implications of security events triggered by indicators of compromise (IOCs), indicators of attack (IOA), or behavioral patterns (TTPs - Tactics, Techniques, and Procedures) derived from custom queries.
- Willingness to travel to client locations as necessary.
- Participate in an on-call rotation as required.
Qualifications and Skills Required:
- Proficient in event and alert analysis from platforms such as SIEM.
- Experience in log analysis, particularly with Windows Event Logs, web logs, and Linux logs.
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR) solutions.
- At least 5 years of experience in the cybersecurity industry.
- Strong understanding of both Windows and Linux operating systems.
- In-depth knowledge of Threat Hunting and Incident Response methodologies.
- Familiarity with 24/7 mission-critical enterprise computing environments and the potential impact of service disruptions on business operations.
- Proficient in both written and spoken German and English.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Relevant certifications in Threat Hunting, Forensic Analysis, or Incident Response.
- Additional certifications such as CHFI, CISSP, CEH, CompTIA Security +, GCIH, GREM, or GCFA.
- Experience in Computer Forensics, Cybersecurity, or Ethical Hacking.
- Skills in Malware Analysis and Reverse Engineering.
- Experience in Penetration Testing.
