Position Overview
We are seeking a Cybersecurity Vulnerability Specialist to be part of our Global Product Cybersecurity division. In this role, you will work closely with the Vulnerability Manager and coordinate with the Cyber Threat Intelligence automation, penetration testing teams, and IT security. The Vulnerability Management team is responsible for identifying and prioritizing threats and vulnerabilities within our product ecosystem, delivering essential reports to key stakeholders. Key Responsibilities
Collaborate effectively with the Harman global Vulnerability Management (VM) team to ensure seamless operations Analyze, assess, and validate vulnerabilities reported by external researchers and new technical vulnerabilities based on their business impact, prioritizing remediation efforts Spearhead the development of VM-related applications/scripts and oversee Software Quality Assurance Manage application and infrastructure patching tasks as part of the vulnerability remediation process Conduct root cause analysis for incident responses related to critical vulnerabilities Mentor junior team members, fostering their growth while supporting the Vulnerability ManagerQualifications
BA/BS or MS Degree in a relevant discipline or 3-6+ years of experience in a cybersecurity role SANS GIAC Enterprise Vulnerability Assessor Certification, Penetration Tester, Web Application Penetration Tester, Exploit Researcher, and Advanced Penetration Tester 3-6+ years in a technical cybersecurity role within corporate, military, or law enforcement environments Experience in IT, embedded systems, hardware testing, threat intelligence, or cybersecurity Proven track record in enhancing vulnerability management processes, incident response handling, and/or vulnerability-scanning concepts in OT/ICS, embedded, or product environments Strong understanding of cybersecurity standards, risks, threats, preventive measures, and best practices Proficient in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Ruby Familiarity with software/hardware and cybersecurity controls, frameworks, and terminology Ability to provide specialized guidance and manage tasks independently A trustworthy professional with a significant impact on team dynamics, promoting a culture of knowledge sharing and collaboration Fluent in EnglishPreferred Qualifications
Cybersecurity experience, preferably in IT/OT and IoT/Automotive sectors GIAC or equivalent certification Knowledge of cybersecurity standards and organizations (CC, FIPS, NIST) Active participation in conferences, consortiums, and CTFs (capture the flag) Publications, blogs, or repositories showcasing past cybersecurity work Familiarity with CSIRT or PSIRT Proficiency in spoken GermanEligibility Criteria
Willingness to travel up to 5% of the time, both domestically and internationally Availability to work in an office environmentWhat We Offer
